WI Elections 2026
Wisconsin is often thought of as a purple or “magenta” state — not a deep-red stronghold, because liberal-leaning urban centers like Milwaukee and Madison consistently tip statewide results. Without those blue cities’ influence, the state would lean far more ruby-red at the statewide level. Looking ahead to 2026, that dynamic matters more than ever. Voters will decide a new governor, and the seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court currently held by Rebecca Bradley — who has announced she will not seek another term. Meanwhile, in our home region, Manitowoc County Clerk’s Office lists a number of critical local contests for 2026: everything from county board seats to municipal and school-board races will be on the ballot.
